The EU4Youth Alumni Network aims to sustain and mobilise the enthusiasm and voluntary spirit of young people generated during their participation in the above-mentioned EU projects and programmes. It offers Alumni the opportunity to connect with disadvantaged young people in their countries and support them to become more active in their communities and actively participate in EU mobility programmes.
The EU4Youth Alumni Network for the Eastern Partnership and Russia brings together young beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps, EU4Youth grant projects, Young European Ambassadors Network as well as other regional programmes targeting young people (i.e. Civil Society Fellowships and others).
Objectives
To provide the EU4Youth Alumni Network members with continuous competence development in designing and implementing educational activities for young people;
To provide the network members professional guidance by youth workers/mentors in their work with young people;
To support better engagement of disadvantaged youth groups in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus into opportunities provided by the EU;
To promote EU values and EU’s positive role in the region;
To provide peer support and guidance for disadvantaged youth groups with the aim to engage them in the projects under Erasmus+ Youth in Action, European Solidarity Corps and EU4Youth programmes;
To establish and develop sustainable links between disadvantaged young people and youth organisations in the region;
program was based on non-formal education principals. Activities were based on experiential learning, during the session mentoring meetings were conducted and using self-reflection and evaluation methods. On the same time were using needs assessment methods, motivation tools and inspiration for target groups of the alumni network members.
