ESN Spring Training: Leadership

The training activity took place

Aims & objectives

Participants support people they work with through means of service and empowerment.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Students volunteers of ESN network, coming from its various sections, mixed nationalities from all across Europe, age 19-30, mostly leaders of local or international teams.

Training methods used & main activities

Empowering elements (social contract, buddy-system, rota); Symbolical/ceremonial activities; Hosting (OST); Self-reflections and group reflections; Role plays; Simulation; Practice project synthesis; Experiences; Debriefing; Frameworks synthesis; Mentoring; Singing, drawing, dancing

Outcomes of the activity

- Participants are aware of the relationship between individuals and groups
- Participants understand the concept of emotional intelligence
- Participants reflect about own leadership style and identify their strenghts and weaknesses
- Participants begin to empower people around them
- Participants will know better how they can support people they work with through means of service and empowerment.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Setting aims and objectives based on needs of the participants, defining the flow, program design and delivery. Writing report and follow-up. All of that working with another co-trainer and under mentorship of two mentors.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
