Fighting the plague of youth unemployment is the ultimate goal of this training course which aims to turn participants, namely youth workers and youth leaders, into employability ambassadors in their local communities
In order to fulfil this mission in an effective way, the ambassadors will improve their competencies in three main areas:
1. COMPETENCES FOR MENTORING. This block tackle with the competencies required to effectively offer guidance and assessment to young people of their local communities in the search for a job. Social skills, as communication and coaching skills, will be the core of this area.

o Managing Progress and Accountability
- Effective Communication:
o Active Listening,
o Powerful Questioning,
o Direct Communication
- Coaching:
o Personal pathway,
o Exploring professional lives,
o Discovering motivations.
2. COMPETENCIES FOR EMPLOYABILITY: The second block of contents are the so-called competences for employability, where the participants will get familiar with the main competences of the field
o Identifying Key Competencies for the labour market
o Strengthening and certifying key competencies for the labour market
RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYABILITY: The sessions belonging to this group aim to provide a complete set of work, educational and volunteers opportunities in order to break the lack of training-lack of work experience downward spiral.

o Volunteering
o Employment
o Entrepreneurship
o Non-formal education. Short-term training & mobility activities
Youth workers, Youth leaders and project coordinators.
17 participants from Spain, UK, Hungary, Belgium, Poland, Greece, Croatia, Italy and Romania.
Trainers team: Alberto Garcia Garcia (Spanish), Simone Lucchi (Italian) and Monika Izabela Wisniewska (Polish). All resident in Spain.
The training was held in non-formal methodology framework, providing knowledge and learning by sharing knowledge as a basis.
The training was divided into 2 components:
1. The theoretical input on employability competencies
2. Sessions with a practical approach to facilitator/ educator competencies.
Forms of teaching used: debates, sharing experiences spaces, quizzes, role plays, simulation activities, implementing activities and use of audiovisual support.
The participants have increased their knowledge on employability competencies and its identification; they have seen how those competencies are and can be certificated, knowledge on facilitating competences and how to put them in practice while providing educational activities.
Each of the participants has a pretty clear idea of what to do and how to implement the new knowledge and skills in their personal life but first of all on the professional level.
They had been very eager on a follow up for this training and right now they are looking for a common project to be developed together.
My role within the trainer's team was of the trainer and I was responsible for all sessions related to the mentor/facilitator competencies and design of educational activities, as well of a part of other common session related to the introduction and closing phase of the training.
