Objectives:
-Developing the competences of youth workers to support youth with fewer opportunitnies in developing their competances and increasing thier employability
-Developing youth workers soft skills and competences in hand crafting, sewing, entreprenuership, youth empowerment.
-Developing competences in Project Based Learning approach
-Creating opportunity for participants to learn about product design and business planing.
-Creating opportunity for participants to learn how to create and develop eco-friendly products from upcycled materials through sewing and handcrafting.
-Promoting eco-entreprenuership, upcycling, environmental protection, social inclusion, active citizenship, cultural and social diversity.
The target group of the Ecopreneurs Training Course comprised youth workers, trainers, and youth leaders from various European countries. The participating countries included Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, and Romania, as well as Spain. This international composition of participants ensured diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultural backgrounds, enriching the learning environment and fostering cross-cultural collaboration and understanding.
The training course employed a variety of non-formal learning methods to engage participants actively and facilitate meaningful learning experiences. Some examples of the training methods used include:
Experiential Learning: Participants engaged in hands-on activities such as sewing, handcrafting, and upcycling, allowing them to learn through direct experience and experimentation.
Group Work: Collaborative group work activities encouraged participants to work together, share ideas, and collaborate on project development and implementation.
Project-Based Learning: The training course incorporated project-based learning approaches, where participants developed eco-friendly products from upcycled materials and created business plans for eco-enterprises.
Role-Playing: Role-playing activities were used to simulate real-life scenarios related to entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and environmental conservation, enabling participants to explore different perspectives and solutions.
Reflective Discussions: Regular reflective discussions provided opportunities for participants to share their insights, experiences, and lessons learned, promoting critical thinking and self-awareness.
The Ecopreneurs Training Course achieved several outcomes indicative of its success:
Enhanced Competencies: Participants developed their competencies in youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, sewing, handcrafting, and project-based learning, equipping them with valuable skills for supporting young people and promoting environmental sustainability.
Promotion of Eco-Entrepreneurship: The training course promoted eco-entrepreneurship, upcycling, environmental protection, and active citizenship among participants, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment and society.
Cross-Cultural Exchange: The international composition of participants facilitated cross-cultural exchange and collaboration, promoting mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation among individuals from different backgrounds.
Publication and Documentation: The training course may have been documented through publications, such as articles, reports, or websites, detailing the training objectives, activities, and outcomes. These publications serve as valuable resources for sharing insights and best practices with a wider audience.
As a full-time trainer in the Ecopreneurs Training Course, my role within the trainers' team encompassed several tasks and responsibilities:
Workshop Facilitation: I facilitated workshops on entrepreneurship, eco-entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment, utilizing non-formal learning methods to engage participants and promote active participation.
Skill Development: I conducted practical sessions on sewing, handcrafting, and upcycling, guiding participants in creating eco-friendly products from old materials and textiles.
Mentoring and Guidance: I provided mentorship and guidance to participants, assisting them in developing project ideas, refining business plans, and preparing for follow-up activities.
Project Management: I collaborated with the project team to ensure the smooth coordination and execution of the training course, contributing to logistical planning, scheduling workshops, and overseeing the overall delivery of the program.
Evaluation and Feedback: I actively participated in the evaluation process, gathering feedback from participants, assessing the effectiveness of training activities, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance the quality of future training initiatives.
