Aims & objectives

General Objectives:
Get a deeper knowledge on environment and climate change
Raise young people's awareness and mobilization in tackling global environmental challenges and climate change
Encourage the development of green skills and behaviors among young people and youth leaders and their commitment to a more sustainable growth by actively involving the young participants in defining actions against climate change
Discover and become aware of different social and cultural realities

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Groups of young people, from 5 different countries: Italy, Romania, Turkey, Portugal and Spain representing a group of young people and young people with fewer opportunities, met in Italy to attend and get a deeper knowledge on environment and climate change, raising young people's awareness and mobilization in tackling global environmental challenges and climate change thus encouraging the development of green skills and behaviors among young people and youth leaders and their commitment to a more sustainable growth, focusing on benefits of exploring cultural diversity and its implications.

Training methods used & main activities

This training was facilitated by creative and sport activities, excursions and special workshops. Furthermore, the activities were done in teams, thus the youth had to learn to work together in a culturally diverse teams.

Outcomes of the activity

- acquire deeper understanding of environment and climate change, offering the possibility to the young people to identify common areas of cooperation and intervention.
- Encourage the development of green skills and behaviors among young people and youth leaders and their commitment to a more sustainable growth.
- Raise young people's awareness and mobilization in tackling global environmental challenges and climate change
- learn how to bring social change into practice themselves and encouraging them to play an active role in their communities
- learn to consider each other primarily as individual, unique persons with own thoughts, opinions, and emotions; learn the basic knowledge and skills in intercultural communication

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Full-time trainer, working in active collaboration in every stage of the project, design, preparation of the activity programme taking in consideration the participants individual and learning needs, implementation of the acitivities, evaluation and final report of the activity.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
