TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Gabriel Brezoiu
The project DTF: Digital Transformation for Future aimed to train youth workers and young volunteers with digital skills and tools in order to create activities for unemployed young people to increase their chances to enter the job market.
According to the numerous analyses conducted, the issue of unemployment is one of the most critical to be solved; therefore, equipping Youth Workers with new world skills would give them the ability to realize themselves in the coming years.
The training course involved activities such as role play games, group discussion, practical experiments and sharing of best practices based on the non-formal learning methodology, related to digital tools and digital competencies, with a particular focus on online communication.
Objectives:
- Increase the digital skills and competencies of the participants of the project
- Provide digital tools and expertise to the participants of the project
- Equip youth workers with new instruments to engage the young people who are unemployed
- Equip the participants with competencies for creating digital learning activities specialized for unemployed young people.
Thanks to the project, the youth workers were able to reproduce in their organizations some job shadowing, mentorship and coaching activities on digital tools and competencies with their specific target groups.
The training course involved youth workers, volunteers and project managers from Greece, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain and Turkey.
The training course was based on the nonformal education including methods such as intercultural groups, ice-breakers, group exercises, intercultural nights, local visits, simulation games, practical workshops.
During the training courses, the participants took the lead and shared digital tools with their peers. Furthermore, we created together a publication available at https://www.geyc.ro/2023/01/publication-digital-transformation-for.html that is presenting the main outcomes of the training course.
My role was the one of a leading trainer, coordinating the pedagogical process and involving the other contributors, experts and facilitating the learning process during the local visits.
Gabriel was an excellent trainer. He knew the subject well and used very interactive and innovative non-formal learning tools that allowed participants to get maximum learning outcomes.
In addition to that, our collaboration was smooth and excellent.
We highly recommend Mr Brezoiu as a trainer in the subject of digitalization and digital transformation
