Aims & objectives

The general objective of the project is to improve the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in their communities, through the use of digital technologies for educational purposes.

Specific objectives:
- Promote the acquisition of digital skills of youth workers necessary to improve their work with groups at risk of social exclusion in the 9 communities involved
- Gain a better understanding of the relationship of young people with the media and digital devices, in order to use them as a tool for non-formal education activities and a local laboratory, refreshing the interest of young people to participate in educational and leisure activities
- Generate comparison, dialogue and exchange of good practices between youth workers to contribute to their personal and professional development, to bring this comparison and awareness online with a social campaign to bring it to the public
- Learn methodologies mediated by digital technologies to promote inclusion, giving voice, through the action of youth workers, to different target groups so that they are the protagonists of possible solutions that improve our communities and their condition, with a broad and positive
- promote the Erasmus + program in the communities involved, in order to raise awareness of opportunities for mobility, open the minds of young people and contribute to a more positive development in building "our Europe".

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The mobility was held in San Giorgio Albanese during the last week of July 2019, with 24 participants, including 2 international trainers and a logistics coordinator, from 8 European countries of the Erasmus + program: Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, France

Training methods used & main activities

Non formal education methods: brainstorming, role playing, team debriefing.
Experiential learning.
Digital methods of pedagogy of the oppressed (e.g. Photovoice)
Non violent communication methods and No hate Speech activities from the Council of Europe manual.

Outcomes of the activity

We made a brochure with 3 case study where to apply digital inclusion and some tips on how to organize learning activities involving new technologies.
