Aims & objectives

Training course Deal with riskh through outdoor involved youth workers around the topics of youth (un)employment, empowerment of young people, youth entrepreneurship and mobility. The TC emphasized the positive side of the risk: how the fact of taking risks can be a motor of personal and professional development. Outdoor education was one of the main tools.

Objectives:
- To encourage active citizenship and develop sense of entrepreneurship
- To provide necessary information about the micro economical youth opportunities (micro-credits)
- To explore the possibilities of the Youth in Action program as a tool for youth employment, mobility and entrepreneurship
- To identify the competencies that can be obtained through European non-formal learning projects and their certification by Youthpass
- To gather and develop resources and strategies to promote the communication and linguistic competences
- To promote the value of cultural diversity and mutual understanding among various cultures
- To raise self-awareness of young people´s personal identity and introduce the idea of individual differences and equality of opportunities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

There were four international trainers (Slovakia, Turkey, Poland), organizers team and 20 participants from Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

This training was fully done in non-formal learning environment, by combining indoor and outdoor education methods. Methods used in this training were composed in logical learning framework, beginnign with teambuilding and group dynamic sessions, then theoretical inputs about the unemplyoment problem (presentations, brainstorming, mixed groups, plenary work), then preparation for outdoor activity (communication skills workshop, teambuilding activities, risk assesment), outdoor activities for two days (hiking, group and indiividual tasks), evaluation, debriefing, self-reflections, future plans designing, project management.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants as youth workers have learnt how to implement outdoor activities into their youth work, how to face unemployment problem of young people in their communities, how to support youngsters with creative and innovative thinking, how to create business plan and how to rpesent one´s ideas.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was responsible for delivering sessions about Intercultural learning, Risk assesment, outdoor activity and self-reflection of the participants.
I assisted co-trainers with activities design, implementation and their arrangements.

My responsibility was to coordinate the project as well.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
