“Creative techniques”

The training activity took place
in Budva, Montenegro
organised by Save the Children Montenegro
11-14.5.2006.

Aims & objectives

Aim: To evoke creativity of youth workers
Objectives:
- to educate about creative techniques in work with children and youth
- to motivate participants to use creative techniques in their work
- to improve quality of use of creative techniques
- to learn from experience


Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team: Participants were experienced youth workers (social workers, teachers, psychologists) and less experienced youth workers (students of humanistic faculties) from different parts of Montenegro. In the group there were people with different nationalities and different religions. Training was lead by a team of three trainers from Croatia.

- theoretical inputs
- discussions
- role play
- creation of puppets
- story telling
- drama interactive games

Outcomes of the activity:
Participants learned when and how use creative techniques in work with children and youth. They experienced themselves how creative techniques bring up the unconscious thoughts or behaviors. They improved their skills for work with children and youth.

Tasks and responsibilities within the team:
- co-preparation of the program
- development of workshops
- preparation and delivering theoretical inputs
- realization of training activities

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
