Aims & objectives

Thessaloniki has always been a fascinating crossroads metropolis of different religions and ethnicities. What does migration mean to the citizens of Thessaloniki? What does it mean to Europeans? Is it a problem or a blessing

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

20 participants from Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Germany, Turkey and Greece.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal education tools. Activities from Compass. Workshops, movies, living library etc.

Outcomes of the activity

Met young people from all over Europe,
shared ideas with them and inspired.
Examined the diverse topic of immigration from different sides: economics, politics, culture, art, everyday lifeā€¦
We created transparent borders between our minds!

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was responsible for the methodology and tools. In cooperation with the other trainer we selected the activities. I carried out the workshops on intercultural dialogue, conflict transformation and second generation immigration and offered relevant theoretical input on terms and institutions.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
