Connecting formal and nonformal education in action

The training activity took place
in Ergli, Latvia
organised by Youth for Society
6-13 December, 2010

Aims & objectives

Main aim was to create space for dialogue between representatives of Formal and Non-Formal system who work with disadvantaged young people in their countries and prepare current needs analyzes of education of young people and develop local project in cooperation between schools and NGOs using formal and non-formal methodology.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The 23 participants of the training represented schools, youth clubs, NGOs from 9 EU countries. The age range was from 21 to 50.
Two trainers and an organizer.

Training methods used & main activities

The working methods included a nice cobmination of formal and nonformal educational methods, showing the possibility of bridging them in the training.

Outcomes of the activity

The outcomes of the activity were the innovative and creative ideas, developed projects, intensive experience sharing.
