TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The training was a KA3 project with several stages of activities including
- a definition "same-page" dialog activity, meeting a need for common agenda between young people and decision makers;
- a longer activity where young people prepared and conducted participation in the Copenhagen Climate March, meeting need for finding a supported and promoted way of expression young people's concerns in a public dialogue;
- a shorter activity involving different ages of young people, in cooperation with another NGO, meeting the goals of enhancing collaborative spirit and fostering democracy from civil awareness and active citizenship.
The training provided in total 100 youth workers and youngsters from Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Turkey, Jordan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania and Morrocco with practical knowledge and innovative methods to empower young people to become climate youth ambassadors who are capable of advocating their environmental concerns towards decision-makers.
Non-formal learning methods like practical tasks and group challenges, discussions and panel debates, reflection sessions and "devil advocacy" sessions, participation in public events, games, role plays, creative quests and peer evaluations.
100 young people, youth workers and local decision makers got an opportunity to carry out an honest dialogue about priorities and values of their behavior and planning. Together they could reevaluate efficiency of tools of communication and discuss of methods of public dialogue, active citizenship and responsibility of own participation in local development process.

Project leader and trainer: overall planning and coordinating of the activities, leading of the sessions with focus on group dynamics, social dialogue and communication, team work, motivation and civil courage, as well as on efficiency of different efforts and measures, contents of personal standpoints and values.
