C4C- Communication for Cooperation, next steps

Aims & objectives

Main aim of this project was to develop communication and cooperation competences in youth workers using non-formal methodologies, in order to apply in the International Youth field and in daily routine activities between youth workers and youngsters with special focus on youth work in rural environments.
This training was a third edition to the original C4C and brought to the rural side of Slovenia by the Zavod Dobra Pot organisation as their first project in Erasmus Plus.
The organisations involved in this training were all youth related ngo's that assessed their needs as to improve their capacities of the communication and cooperation competences. Based on that we made a specific objectives
- To gain the knowledge about different forms, strategies, norms and mistakes of communication
- To gain practical skills of communication to be used in working with diversity and inclusion
- To experience the barriers of cooperation and learn from them strategies to cope in a daily life situations
- To gain skills in specific methods for communication such as: feedback, mediation, non violent communication, transactional analysis and public speaking
- To acquire skills of ICT tools for communication and trigger discussion on media literacy and critical thinking
- To plan and implement follow up sessions about communication for cooperation for specific target group in each partner country

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

This project with an activity of a training course aimed for participants with a profile of youth workers, youth leaders that are connected to their organisations and communities.
We had participants from Slovenia, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Cyprus, Netherlands, Spain, Romania and Finland.

Training methods used & main activities

This training was based on NFE principles and all specific methods were linked to it, but specifically we based this training on:
- nonviolent communication
- mediation
- ICT tools
- Feedback (AID models)
- Transaction Analysis
