Aims & objectives

AIM:
To encourage and make Youth Leaders able to coordinate youth exchange projects within Youth in Action programme

OBJECTIVES:
To raise understanding of the youth exchange Project Management cycle in the context of Youth in Action programme
To raise understanding of coordinator role
To make pax aware of different communication styles and make them understand group dynamic process when working with people from different countries
To improve pax leadership skills
To provide pax space to exchange their previous knowledge and experience and to get new partners for future projects

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

- Youth leaders coming from partners organizations aged from 18 years and up. People with some previous experience with YiA projects (mainly as the participants in youth exchanges)

- Future project coordinators (here we are focused on youth exchanges mainly)

20 young people from 8 countries: Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria and Poland.

Training methods used & main activities

workshops and presentations, simulation games and case studies, group work, teambuilding activities, practical exercises and individual tests.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants got knowledge about: leadership skills, coaching, project management, non formal education and motivation.
Participants learnt how to work with people with fewer opportunities and also how to use theatre techniques.
Several international project were created as result of training course
