Aims & objectives

The project, having a systemic approach, was composed of 3 different training activities, each of them focus on a different target role of those involved in mobility projects with an inclusive approach for young people with intellectual disabilities.
This training had the main objective of develop specific competences on project managers to make sure that the projects they design are based on inclusion and accessibility from the beginning, taking into consideration individual needs of participants and all the economical support needed in order to answer them.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The TC involved 23 project managers of the partner organisations in charge of the mobility projects (ESC, youth exchanges, and so on), from Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden, Greece, Malta, Austria and Latvia.

Training methods used & main activities

Non formal education based approach, supporting the competence development of the participants.
Methods included walk and talk, group dynamics, human library, world café style sessions, etc. Moreover, part of the programme was leaded and facilitated by some of the participants based on their own learning needs, using the co-planning methodology.

Outcomes of the activity

New partnerships, new project collaboration and capacity building for the organisations that work with people with intellectual disabilities and support their participation on mobility projects within the European programmes.

Full-time senior trainer. Design and implementation of the programme.
