The aims of the seminar “Action for healt: meet, improve, enjoy” are to share, to exchange, to improve about methods, knowledge, good practices on themes/issues related to health and youth.
Objectives of the seminar are to improve the knowledge, the skills, the competences, the awareness about: common sense of “health culture” ; risk – behavior (drug and alcohol abuse and addiction); intercultural, interreligious competences related with health; stress management and burn-out in social workers; non formal education as tool and methodology in health education (group management, leadership, work evaluation); health and youth in a European dimension
Direct target and participants of the seminar were 24 youth workers, youth leaders, social workers, professionals like psychologists, etc, dealing with health issues and youth, from Italy, Germany, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Romania, Lithuania, Russian Federation, plus 2 trainers/faciltattors, Christina Plantz and Salvi Greco from Germany and Italy. L'Arcobaleno provided also for a logistic support person.
All the activities were based on non formal education methodology to make process really participant oriented and based. We used methods like simulations, world cafè, role games, team building, personal and group reflection/evaluation.
Some of the participants prepared and did a presentation of the project in their local context to share how in few days they gained new knowledge and skills in using non formal education in health projects. Another important result was to get new awareness on the intercultural dimension in health issues. Also some new project ideas, which is still on process, was created during the project.
I was fully in charge of the project, from the initial design, to the coordination of the application process, running the activities, and for the final and post evaluation and the final report.
