TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Margaux Richet
The training, inspired by participation in various trainings within the EU and inspired by Sir Ken Robinson (“How finding your passion can change everything”) was aimed to strengthen the personal further development and qualification of youth leaders and those working for and young people within Europe. The intensive training included five main modules as follows:
-What is passion? What makes me passionate? Find your passion! What do you really love to do? (“Visionary Training Session”)
-How to accept each other? How to use the diversity? Cooperation and connecting passions to create change; seeking the potential from diversity of people and thoughts/ideas (“Value Diversity Session”)
-How to plan cooperation? How to deal with conflicts? How to create peace? Planning of concrete cooperation for the future and networking; tools for challenges in cooperation, partnerships and networks (“Seeking Potential Session”)
-How to include others? How to empower others? Empathy and Participation – Give your passion a meaning for others. Active Citizenship and Active Participation in activities and the planned cooperation (“Passion Transformation Session”)
-What to do with the future? How to multiply change? Development of concrete actions to depart from here; using the potential of shared passion to make a difference (“Planning for change session”)
The countries involved were:
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Austria, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine
The team was composed of:
-a trainer for Portugal, a trianer from Austria and a trainer from Germany
-two organizers from Germany
Non-formal education methods: elements from OST technology (open space), barcamps, creative workshops, exchanges, language games, team building games, sensitive workshops, presentation, art space, daily reflection...
Some participants discovered a new passion, some found out where they are on the way to "Passion". They could clarify all the steps and topics connected to "Passion" for themselves, their work as multipliers and for the target groups (how to empower youth, to identify the risks, to secure the development of their potential...). They found out new partners and proposed new projects for the future.
I was a full-time trainer responsible for the preparation and implementation of the activities with two other trainers.
