Makbule Temel has 4 references for past work as a trainer.
free lance trainer, facilitator (field: Inclusion, diversity, non violent communication, gender, interculturality and identity, youth work, preventing violence and extremism in retail...) )
Throughout my experience as a trainer, I have worked with diverse target groups, ranging from children and young people in school and non-formal contexts to adult learners and professionals from multicultural backgrounds.
My recent work includes workshop facilitation, trainings and methodology development, as well as moderation of large international events. My thematic focus covers inclusion, working with people with disabilities and awareness on how to be more inclusive, diversity, gender-based violence, mediation, conflict transformation, non-violent communication, anti-racism and ESC-related youth work.
I currently collaborate with retail store managers across Austria on extremism prevention and am actively expanding this expertise to the wider corporate sector. In addition to commercial contexts, I design customized workshops for NGOs and community institutions, addressing critical issues such as xenophobia and identity, particularly within youth care and foster homes. Throughout all sectors, I utilize and develop participatory, inclusive, and non-formal learning methodologies.
My training work is grounded in both formal and non-formal education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Social Anthropology from the University of Vienna, where I focused on migration, diversity, interculturality, identity, sense of belonging, othering and racism. This academic background helped me develop a critical, intersectional perspective on social inequalities, power relations and inclusion, which strongly informs my work on diversity, anti-racism and youth participation.
I also completed a joint Master’s degree in Social Economy and Social Work at FH Campus Wien, with a focus on leadership and motivational theories, social policies, empowerment and organisational development. This programme strengthened my understanding of systemic approaches, group dynamics and participatory methods, which I apply in trainings on leadership, communication, conflict transformation and group processes.
In addition to formal education, my learning has been shaped by non-formal experiences in youth work, volunteering and international mobility programmes such as ESC and Erasmus+. These experiences allowed me to apply theory in practice and develop facilitation, training and intercultural competencies. They are important to me because they bridge academic knowledge with lived experience, reflective practice and human-centred non-formal learning.
