As a trainer and facilitator, I am dedicated to creating transformative training programs that drive social change. I work with civil society organizations to address critical issues like social and ecological justice, democratic participation, community empowerment, and global solidarity. By applying participatory methods and systems thinking, I support individuals and organizations in critically engaging with social dynamics to cultivate innovative solutions that meet their communities’ needs.
Boroka Balint has 4 references for past work as a trainer.
Learning facilitator, experiential learning program designer, trainer, visual communication coordinator (free lance)
My recent work focuses on designing and delivering transformative learning programs that empower communities to actively confront systemic injustices. I create and facilitate workshops addressing critical issues such as climate justice, social equity, and political participation, while unpacking oppressive social dynamics and structures. In these sessions, I cultivate environments that encourage participants to take leadership, build trust, critically analyze challenges and collaboratively develop and set in motion innovative solutions.
I prioritize creating practical educational resources and communication tools that bring attention to the voices that are often overlooked, while ensuring that justice-oriented initiatives resonate with and engage the broader community. Looking ahead, I am committed to building community resilience and driving tangible systemic change through collaborative efforts and actionable strategies.
My educational journey spans both formal and non-formal learning experiences, each shaping my work as a trainer and facilitator. I hold an MSc in Southeast European Studies from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and an MA in Political Philosophy from Pompeu Fabra University, both of which provided me with a deep understanding of socio-political dynamics and systemic inequalities. These studies sharpened my critical thinking and offered the theoretical grounding essential for my work in social justice and community organizing.
Additionally, my BA in European Studies from Babeș-Bolyai University introduced me to the complexities of regional political systems and cultural diversity, which remain central to my training in eco-social justice and political engagement. Non-formal education has been also pivotal in my development, shaped by my experiences as a volunteer and youth worker, as well as my roles as a trainer and facilitator. Through continuous engagement with civil society and grassroots organizations, I have had the chance to co-create learning processes that resonate with unique contexts and needs. These experiences have deepened my commitment to participatory learning and transformative education and equipping me to address real-world challenges with practical solutions that give chance to foster meaningful change in the communities I work with.
