Aims of the tool

The YWIS platform provides a highly engaging and intuitive learning experience diving in the possibilities and achievements in youth work in schools. The course is characterized by excellent accessibility and clear, concise content. Its comprehensive approach to youth work, presented through multiple perspectives, adds significant educational depth and value.

Description of the tool

The YWIS e-learning portal is hosted on the University of Thessaly’s Moodle at https://ywis.uth.gr/elearning/ Content is openly available for free access, citation, and reuse (OER spirit).

Course 1 - Theoretical Focus: Youth Work & Youth Work in Schools
Format: Four lessons (each ~60–90 minutes) combining short video lectures, reading/resources, and self-assessment.

•Lesson 2: Social Sciences & Youth Work (60΄)
•Lesson 3: Youth Work Ethos & Application in Schools (60΄)

•Lesson 4: Youth Work & Wellbeing (60΄)
The online courses offer an engaging, reflective, and enriching learning experience. Thoughtfully designed questions and activities encourage critical thinking and active participation while deepening learners’ understanding of youth work. The visual design, including font choices and layout, contributes to an inviting and accessible atmosphere. Most importantly, the content provides a clear and compelling overview of youth work’s importance in both formal and non-formal educational contexts.
