Manual
A checklist to help you organise an intergenerational event in your local community to encourage young people and elderly to understand each other and connect.
To make event organising for begginers a bit easier.
To have a checklist of what you need to think about.
The checklist is a result of an Erasmus + project Youth (vs) with seniors, organised by ŠIMC, Mladinski EPI center Piran.
In our local environment there are mostly seniors and young people, and less of the middle generation. There is not much connection and solidarity between the two generations. A number of stereotypes of the elderly about young people which are usually not positive and vice versa are causing intolerance and misunderstanding.
Together with participants from 5 different countries and elderly people from the local community we wanted to share and exchange ideas and best practice examples, create more activities for both age groups and organise an event that would become a tradition and would encourage young people and elderly to understand each other and connect.
