Bullying may also be considered harassment when it is based on a student’s race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or religion. The results of the YAB project aim to boost young students' critical thinking against bullying and cyberbullying.

Aims of the tool

1. To promote the development and acquisition of proper and useful knowledge to deal with bullying and cyberbullying.
2.To foster the awareness of the risks related to bullying and cyberbullying and the unconscious use of internet and social media.
3. To enhance the empowerment of young students providing them with main tools for critical thinking against bullying and cyberbullying.

Description of the tool

The YAB project led to the production of results that can be furtherly exploited for fighting against bullying and cyberbullying in schools:

1. YAB Resource Centre: based on the interactive platform, it represents the main result of the project, as it contains:
- Training material for teachers on how to prevent and fight against bullying and cyberbullying, with a specific focus on young people with special needs
- Training material for students to act as ambassadors against bullying and cyberbullying
- Educational resources for parents and the whole community. The forum section, where students can discuss and exchange opinion on the topics of bullying and cyberbullying.

2. Anti-bullying Campaigns: Consists of the collection of the projects elaborated by young ambassadors teams for the promotion of anti-bullying campaigns against students with disabilities. It is the result of the involvement of students in peer education activities (pilot action) and a fundamental means for promoting awareness on the topics of bullying and cyberbullying. Videos developed within the anti-bullying campaign are designed by young people themself and are addresses to a young public but also to the whole education community.
