Report
A series of youth-designed activities exploring trust, empathy, discrimination, and communication through creative non-formal learning methods.
To empower young people to design and facilitate inclusive learning experiences that promote tolerance, critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and equity.
This tool was developed as the final component of the UNITY: Uniting Nations to Inspire Tolerance and Equity mobility project. Participants applied their knowledge by designing and implementing original educational activities based on non-formal methods. Each activity focused on a key theme—such as discrimination, communication, trust, or perspective-taking—and was tested in a safe learning space with feedback provided by trainers and peers. The process helped participants develop facilitation skills, improve collaboration, and deepen their understanding of inclusive, learner-centered education.
Learning outcomes include:
- Developing facilitation and leadership skills
- Enhancing communication and cooperation in diverse teams
- Gaining hands-on experience with non-formal education methods
- Reflecting on equity, privilege, and social dynamics in learning spaces
- Boosting confidence in public speaking and group management
