Simulation Exercise
An interactive Bingo-style game that helps players recognise and understand key media literacy concepts while identifying misinformation and social media manipulation in a fun, engaging way.
To strengthen media literacy among young people by:
a) Familiarising them with key terms and concepts related to misinformation, fake news, and digital responsibility; and
b) Encouraging analytical thinking and active participation through a collaborative learning activity.
Bingo is part of the Unfake Social Media project’s Social Media Simulation series — a set of interactive games that make learning about misinformation both educational and enjoyable.
In this activity, players match terms with definitions or examples linked to media literacy, fake news, and online information credibility. The game format keeps participants engaged while reinforcing their understanding of how information spreads and how to assess it critically.
By blending competition with reflection, Bingo cultivates essential skills such as critical analysis, attention to detail, and source evaluation — empowering youth to navigate the digital landscape with confidence and discernment.
