This is a one page checklist that serves as a ready reckoner to identify fake news and disinformation from real, while on Social Media.
To Educate young people on
a) Harmful effects of consumption & proliferation of negative news/information through SM; and
b) EU initiatives such as AI Act, Digital Services Act that helps in raising media literacy.
The Factchecking Checklist is part of Digital Toolkit that with the following aims:
- The youth will improve their knowledge to differentiate between fake news and real ones;
- Staff of the youth organizations is motivated and inspired;
- Youth organizations have guidelines and examples of how to use games to education on fake news and disinformation;
- Youth organizations increase their interest to engage through game-based methods.
