Exercise
This is a game in which participants have to find hidden treasure by solving different quizzes and decoding the message. Key words for the activity are: teamwork, tolerance, open-mindness
To develop the following competences and skills:
- social and civic
- technical and scientific
- linguistic
- communication (foreign language and mother tongue)
- teamwork

1. Tell the whole group a fiction history about the treasure in order to motivate them.
2. Divide the whole group into groups of 3 participants
3. The groups choose the number of their first game randomly. There must be similar number of groups doing GAME 1 and GAME 2.
4. The groups start with their game and when it is finished they receive the premium that is a digit of the treasure’s locker.
5. As soon as each group finishes with its game (1 or 2), they start with the GAME 3 that has to be done by the whole group. This game 3 could be separated into 2, 3, 4 smaller games that could facilitate the participation of the whole group. The solution of game 3 will give the group the place where the treasure is hidden
GAME 1 (bottle game):
There are 2 glasses on the floor separated 50cm, one filled with water and the other is empty. Your task is to move the water from one glass to the other, using the tools, but you are just allowed to lift the filled one, and oscillate it.
(Solution: put the ends of the cord one in each glass; lift and oscillate the filled one)
GAME 2 (paper structure):
You have to build up a paper structure which resists the weight of one water bottle in the middle. The structure has to be built up just with paper and tape. And the flat dimensions of the structure have to be 32cm x 10cm
(Solution: roll the paper forming a spaghetti longer than 32 cm, and tape its ends)
GAME 3 (quiz):
There is a code with unknown symbols revealing the position of the treasure. To be translated into your language there will be as many questions as characters they have to discover to know the treasure’s location. The first character of the answer will be the meaning of the symbol.

Paper from magazines, tape, tools (salt, knife, plaster,…), balloons (for code number), box, locker with code, 2 glasses of water (no plastic glasses), 2 plastic bottles of 0,5 to 5 l; envelope.
