A free, modular training format for educators to teach circular economy principles to adults at risk of exclusion, fostering entrepreneurship and employability through non-formal learning methods.

Aims of the tool

Equip educators and trainers with practical methods for teaching circular economy principles, fostering social inclusion, and empowering disadvantaged adults through entrepreneurship.

Empower learners with CE skills for career development or entrepreneurship.

Promote sustainability and social inclusion through hands-on, adaptable activities.

Description of the tool

The tool consists of three modules:

Sensibilisation: Builds awareness of circular economy through empathy and understanding of learners’ challenges (e.g., "Walk of Life" role-play).

Circular Economy: Teaches CE principles with sustainable practices and their societal impact (e.g., "5 R’s Framework," biomimicry).

Learning by Doing: Practical activities for real-world application like creating upcycled products or designing CE business models.

Learning Outcomes:

Educators gain inclusive teaching strategies for marginalized adults.

Learners develop CE knowledge, entrepreneurial thinking, and job-ready skills.

Both sides understand circular economy fundamentals.

Gain skills to promote green entrepreneurship.

Piloted in workshops across six countries (Slovakia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, the Netherlands) with educators and marginalized adults.
