The digital security toolkit is a practical resource to help youth workers and young people stay safe online. It covers tools like VPNs, password managers, and 2FA, and offers tips on recognizing phishing, protecting devices, and teaching digital safety.
The aim of the toolkit is to empower youth workers and young people with practical knowledge and tools to enhance digital security, protect personal data, recognize online threats, and promote safe, responsible online practices in their communities.
By using this toolkit, learners will:
1. Understand and implement practices like setting strong passwords, enabling 2FA, and using encrypted communication tools.
2. Recognize common online threats such as phishing, malware, and identity theft.
3. Apply digital safety practices to personal and professional activities.
4. Learn to share digital security knowledge with others through workshops and collaborative learning.
5. Stay informed about emerging risks like AI-generated phishing and IoT vulnerabilities.
6. Engage with diverse perspectives while promoting safe and inclusive online environments.
