Aims of the tool

The aims of this report are:
- Understand the needs of young people and youth workers regarding digital tools.
- Promote podcasting as a tool for youth empowerment and inclusion.
- Identify good practices and gaps in podcasting use across partner countries.
- Encourage youth participation and community engagement through digital media.

Description of the tool

This report is the first output of the European project “PODCast – Power of Diverse Communities,” involving Spain, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Italy, and Serbia. It presents research findings, survey results, and good practices related to podcasting as a tool for youth development. It highlights the challenges faced by marginalized youth, the role of podcasts in addressing these challenges, and the potential of podcasting to foster expression, confidence, and community belonging.

This tool leverages podcasting as a dynamic, inclusive, and accessible medium to foster youth participation, self-expression, and digital literacy. It is designed for both young people and youth workers to explore podcasting as a method of non-formal education and community engagement.
