Manual
DigiHike aims to support new forms of tourism, with remote areas at the centre of the traveller’s interest. It
promotes the so- called Adventure Tourism that represents a huge opportunity for both organizations and communities active in mountain areas.
DigiHike aims to achieve the following specific objectives:
1) enhancement of small organizations capacity in outdoor activities
2) connection of trekking and outdoor activities with tourism opportunities
3) promotion of rural areas and environmental heritage
4) development of staff trekking and digital skills.
Small organizations often witness not only the lack of hard skills related to trekking, but also the lack of digital skills useful for their own promotion and that of the areas they are active in.
DigiHike intends to respond to the needs of the staff and volunteers of organizations active in the field of outdoor and rural development through:
1. the DigiHike Guide for the development of basic hiking skills (available in EN,IT,HR,ES,PT)
2. the DigiHike Toolkit for the digital promotion of outdoor activities (available in EN)
