A comprehensive inclusive training program with modules & activities for youth workers, educators to teach sexual & emotional education, fostering consent, self‑awareness & healthy relationships through non‑formal methods.
- To promote inclusive, respectful, and comprehensive sexual and emotional education.
- To strengthen the capacity of youth workers and educators in addressing sensitive topics such as consent, boundaries, identity, relationships, and sexual health.
- To foster self-awareness, empathy, and healthy communication skills among young people.
- To create safe learning spaces where diversity is respected and discrimination is actively challenged.
The Sexual and Emotional Education Training Program is a structured learning tool developed by a consortium of European organizations specializing in youth work and non-formal education. It combines two foundational theoretical modules with five thematic activity programs, each containing interactive, adaptable workshops designed for varied youth contexts.
The program covers:
- Understanding human sexuality, identity, orientation, and expression.
- Using non-formal education methods to create inclusive and participatory learning experiences.
- Practical activities exploring emotions, boundaries, puberty, self-image, healthy relationships, sexual health, intimacy, and online safety.
Each module promotes experiential learning through role-play, discussions, creative expression, and collaborative problem-solving. The learning outcomes include increased knowledge of sexual health and rights, improved communication and empathy, greater self-awareness, and the development of critical thinking skills for navigating relationships and personal well-being.
The program is adaptable for different cultural and social contexts, and places a strong emphasis on inclusivity—particularly for LGBTQ+ youth, young people with disabilities, those from rural areas, and second-generation immigrants.
