Presentation
Discover digital youth work with Discord: chat, share, and play. Explore global examples, set up your server, and build a community to meet your organization’s and young people’s needs.
Create your own Discord profile and learn how to navigate the platform.
Explore and perform simple and complex commands to create their communities (digital centers).
With newly gained knowledge, participants will shape their ideas into practice, making their digital centers tailor-made for their needs.
In this workshop for beginners, you will discover a new method of doing digital youth work. A cross-connected communication platform called Discord allows users to meet, communicate, text, share links, GIFs, images, and play games together.
We will look at worldwide examples of communities, learn how to set it up ourselves, and, most importantly, navigate and create a digital community best suited for the needs of your organization, your young people, and you.
