Presentation
A practical tool for youth workers to identify, challenge, and counter gender-based hate speech online, promoting safe, inclusive, and empowering digital spaces.
The project equips youth workers with skills to recognize and respond to gendered disinformation and online hate. Strengthen young people’s digital resilience and critical thinking and promote inclusion, equality, and respectful online communication.
The ScrollOff project provides educators and youth workers with interactive exercises, practical guidelines, and evidence-based strategies to address gender-based hate speech on social media. Through the toolkit and portal, users will:
- Understand the dynamics of online hate speech and gendered disinformation.
- Learn techniques to support young people in safely navigating online content.
- Gain tools for designing workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns.
- Apply practical methods to foster respectful dialogue and digital citizenship.
The project includes references to the ScrollOff Key Reference Book, which consolidates research, case studies, and best practices, and links to a free online portal with courses for deeper learning.
