Eco-anxiety, a growing psychological response to the
environmental crisis, is becoming increasingly common.
This handbook aims to offer solace, understanding, and
practical tools for seeking to reduce it
through meaningful connections with Nature.
The project’s impact at the European and international level was primarily driven by its commitment to creating and sharing transferable results. The most significant outcome, the Handbook of nature-based methods for reducing eco-anxiety, was co-created by participants. As promised in our dissemination plan, this Handbook was made freely available on European platforms, including SALTO and the Erasmus+ Results Platform, ensuring it could be accessed and used by youth workers, educators, and organisations across Europe and beyond. This tangible output serves as a practical, replicable model for addressing a pressing, shared European challenge, demonstrating clear European added value.
In line with our objectives, the 32 youth worker participants collaboratively developed a comprehensive handbook of nature-based methods to address eco-anxiety. This tangible tool was designed as an Open Educational Resource to be shared widely, contributing to the quality and innovation of youth work practices across Europe.
