Manual
This guide fosters youth participation and advocacy. Created within KA1 project "Red Compás" in rural Galicia, it provides practical tools for educators to replicate models of co-creation and strategic dialogue between young people and local institutions.
- To provide a clear, step-by-step methodology for youth workers and organizations to promote civic engagement.
- To provide a clear, step-by-step methodology for youth workers and organizations to promote civic engagement.
- To empower young people with practical skills for political advocacy, guerrilla communication strategies, and direct dialogue with decision-makers.
- To offer adaptable tools for rural contexts where youth participation often faces specific geographical or social barriers.
The Red Compás Toolkit is a practical roadmap designed to transform youth demands into institutional impact. Based on a successful KA1 project in rural Galicia, the guide follows a modular approach: from group cohesion and identifying local needs to the execution of creative advocacy campaigns.
A standout feature of this methodology is the use of guerrilla communication: non-conventional, high-impact actions designed to occupy public space and make youth demands visible on a limited budget. The toolkit doesn't just theorize; it provides dynamic workshops, and real-case examples of how to bridge the gap between rural youth and local decision-makers through a co-creation process.
Learning Outcomes: By using this toolkit, participants and educators will achieve the following:
- Strategic Advocacy: Learners will gain the ability to design and lead advocacy processes, moving from "complaint" to "constructive proposal" in their local context.
- Creative Communication: Participants will have an introduction to guerrilla communication techniques, learning how to use creativity and visual impact as a tool for political and social influence.
- Institutional Literacy: A better understanding of how local administrations work and how to establish a peer-to-peer dialogue with policy-makers.
- Community Mapping: Skills to identify and mobilize local stakeholders, creating a network of support (alliances) for youth-led initiatives.
- Civic Empowerment: A shift in attitude toward active citizenship, fostering the belief that rural youth can be co-designers of public policy.
