9 video lessons on assistive technology in Croatian, English, Spanish and Slovenian languages for visually impaired persons to use in everyday and professional activities.
• Expand Access to Assistive Technology (AT): Develop and disseminate Open Educational Resources (OER) with clear, multilingual video tutorials on using AT devices, tailored for visually impaired learners.
• Support Multiformat Accessibility: Ensure all OER —are available in formats suitable for screen readers, audio playback, fostering usability across diverse needs.
• Encourage Cross-Border Collaboration: Facilitate knowledge exchange among European stakeholders to share best practices in digital inclusion and employment support for visually impaired persons.
• Empower Through Self-Learning: Create a virtual space where visually impaired users can independently explore, learn, and build confidence in using technology and preparing for employment.
The A3 OER element of the Erasmus+ KISS project is a key outcome focused on enhancing digital inclusion for blind and partially sighted people. It delivers open-source educational resources in the form of short video lessons, presented by visually impaired members of the project team. These lessons demonstrate how to use selected assistive technology devices to access digital tools such as WhatsApp, email, social media, and online portals.
The consortium has selected specific devices that significantly improve workplace accessibility in the digital age. These include Smart Vision and BlindShell phones, desktop and handheld electronic magnifiers, and Braille writing tools such as Braille notetaker. Additional technologies featured include screen magnifiers, screen readers, voice labelers, image-to-text conversion tools, and smart glasses.
The final content is freely available to all target group members, supporting independent learning and digital empowerment, in Croatian, Slovenian, Spanish and Croatian languages, and available for download on the project's official website: https://erasmus-assistivetechnology.udrugaslijepih.hr/virtual-resource-platform/.
