Not Just Any Visual Dictionary: a visual library for visual facilitation
Not Just Any Visual Dictionary is a cheat sheet designed to help facilitators, trainers, youth workers, and community leaders in their efforts to bring visuals and colors to their work through a pre-made visual library.
Aims of the tool
With this visual library, you will have an easier time visualizing your work and support the building of common understandings in your group.
You will be able to use the pre-made visuals to explain topics, communicate ideas, and share abstract concepts. Although all of the graphics and visuals are black and white, they will help you bring color to your work - in training sessions, community events, coaching calls with young people, youth workers, your community, people you have difficulty communicating with, or other trainers just like yourself.
Description of the tool
The visual library has 6 pages full of visuals. 120 graphics to explain topics, communicate ideas, and share abstract concepts. All of the visuals are tried and tested in my personal and professional circles and updated accordingly. Some visuals are more accepted in some circles and some aren't. It's just like any other language.
On the first page, you will also find other resources to help and guide you in your visual facilitation/ graphic note-taking journey.
