By equipping them with video production and storytelling skills, the tool supports NGOs in better reaching and involving young people, particularly. This helps bridge the communication gap, increases youth engagement in NGO activities, and enhances the visibility and impact of youth work.

Description of the tool

NGO Video Lab is an educational tool designed to train youth workers in creating compelling video content for use on modern social media platforms. Developed through an Erasmus+ mobility project, the tool addresses the growing need for NGOs to adapt to digital trends and better connect with young people.

The tool consists of five practical video modules accompanied by a downloadable cheat sheet. Each module focuses on a different aspect of digital storytelling:

1.) Empathy Mapping – Understanding the target audience's needs and perspectives.

2.) Profile Growth – Strategies to grow online presence and community.

3.) Storytelling – Crafting messages that resonate with youth.

4.) Filming Techniques – Tips for smartphone-based video creation.

5.) Production Quality – Enhancing video impact with editing and visuals.

These resources are designed for non-formal learning environments and are ideal for workshops, training sessions, and personal development of youth workers.
