A self-assessment of Individual Environmentally-friendly Attitudes, Behaviours, Habits, Knowledge
and Lifestyles.
To assess the impact of individual actions on the environment around us with a focus on the following areas: nutrition, household maintenance, personal hygiene, wardrobe, energy consumption, work environment, hobbies;
To assess the impact of individual actions on the community level;
To raise awareness of the effects that individuals might have on the environment in their communities;
To open discussion on different issues linked with sustainability, environment and ecology.
The individual assessment is a great way to open the discussion on issues related to sustainability, environment, and ecology.
Steps:
Each participant receives one copy of the individual assessment form and is asked to review it and reflect on his/her actions by answering Yes/No. Once done, the participants meet in a group, and debriefing follows, reflecting on the differences/similarities and discussing the possible future steps and changes the participants would like to undertake after the activity.
Note: Not all questions might be relevant to all participants and realities. Sometimes, answering Yes/No might be challenging. This might be addressed during the debriefing.
