The aim of Hujambo is to offer youth trainers a tool for working with groups of young people on values in life. Through playing the game, the young people will initiate an intercultural dialogue on values, and learn that many differences between cultures and personalities start from values they give to life.
HUJAMBO is an informative game which challenges you to think and talk with others about values in life.
HUJAMBO gives you plenty of material, so you can give appropriate thought to values in a playful, creative and yet serious way – these are Values that are already important or that might become important in a participant’s life.
HUJAMBO aims at young people from 15 years of age upwards. It can be used in a youth movement, in a youth club, at international youth meetings, during youth retreats, in schools etc
HUJAMBO contains 20 values; each value being approached in 2 different ways. In this way, it offers a wide range of methods and contains something for everybody. It is a open game which allows trainers to add and share their own values and methodology.
HUJAMBO is Swahili and it means: "Who are you?” - its the question which the game wants to help young people find their answer to.

This tool is for
Hujambo hands you a lot of materials, which you can use for groups between 4 and 60 people. A normal session would include a group around 20 to 40 people. Hujambo aims at young people of 16 years old and up.

Materials needed:
Manual and game cards are available on the website or on this page as a download. All the materials needed are clearly described on the game cards.
Duration:
The duration depends on the situation you want to use the game. You can use the game cards seperately for a short energizers of 10 minutes, however a normal session lasts around 2 hours.
