Exercise
Game which can be used to practice new words of a foreign language and train memory
To facilitate communication in a foreign language and learning to learn. To develop intercultural and social competence.
- Divide the group in two teams (green and yellow) with the help of any warm up activity
- First stage: There will be 16 cards with 4 different words in 4 different languages. The teacher gives two sets of cards to both teams. Green team shows the first set of cards to the yellow one. The teacher asks which card means “x” in four languages we have chosen. The yellow team discuss for ten seconds and then gives the answer. There will be four rounds and then the team change the role. Every correct answer is one point. The teacher explains to the students the meaning of the words.

- Second stage: The teacher puts on some music and asks the two groups to walk around dancing. The teacher gives the ball which is made up of papers containing the same crucial 16 different words. The teacher says to players to pass the ball to the others randomly. The teacher stops the music and the students with the ball have to unwrap one paper from it and guess the meaning of the word and the language. Every correct answer is two points. The game ends when each word has been discovered. The winner will be the team who gets the highest score.
