HANDBOOK- TACKLING POVERTY WITH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This is an E-Booklet About Types of Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship Business Ideas which was prepared at the end of the mobility of youth workers project between 7-14 March Sakarya-Türkiye.
Aims of the tool
This e-booklet aims to explain different types of enterprises and focuses on specifically social entrepreneurship to create different solution oriented ideas for the society. Also it includes information about the differences between charity, traditional business and social enterprise to understand better when it comes to solving a problem while making it sustainable at the same time. In addition, the business ideas about social enterprise are created and the participants of the project are available in the booklet to inspire the people who read.
Other specific aims of the Booklet:
-Increase of the awareness regarding to supports to the social entrepreneurship,
-Supporting the NGOs so that they use their low financial powers more effectively,
-Transmitting the social entrepreneurship work to larger mass,
-Increasing the capacities of NGOs regarding to social entrepreneurship,
-Increasing the current competencies of the youth workers regarding to entrepreneurship
-Increasing of the effective role of the social entrepreneurship on the eradication of poverty in the long term,
-Supporting the arise of more different social entrepreneurship applies in Türkiye and in the European Union,
-Increasing the visibility of the Erasmus+ programme and the understanding of the opportunities that it provides related to entrepreneurship,
-Developing the volunteer management approaches of the NGOs and using the social entrepreneurship volunteer management model more effectively by developing it.
Description of the tool
This is an E-Booklet About Types of Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship Business Ideas which was prepared at the end of the mobility of youth workers project between 7-14 March Sakarya-Türkiye.
This booklet is a summary for the youth workers and youngsters to get to know more about entrepreneurship concept in an easy way. First of all, it explained Erasmus+ project shortly. Then, the booklet includes the definitions of scalable start-up enterprise, small business/large company enterprises, green enterprise, innovative enterprise and specifically social enterprise. Especially social enterprise is explained detailedly and some business ideas are created by the participants of the project as some examples which are applicable in real life for the reader to get inspired and to create more projects according to all the infos. Also, the reader will learn how to solve the problem in the society in a sustainable way which is the main point of social enterprise instead of giving away. Lastly, it is mentioned about volunteer management in NGOs step by step to make it easy to follow and apply in real life.
