This e-book presents youth co-created guidelines from the “OUT&In” Erasmus project to improve outdoor social sport as a tool for inclusion and empowerment of disadvantaged young people through inclusive, digital and experiential practices.

Aims of the tool

The tool aims to enhance the effectiveness of outdoor social sport as a resource for youth empowerment and inclusion. It supports the development of socio-emotional, digital, and green competences, while helping youth workers design more inclusive and impactful practices for disadvantaged young people

Description of the tool

This e-book presents guidelines co-created by young people involved in the “OUT&In” Erasmus project to improve outdoor social sport as a tool for empowerment. Developed through experiential activities in Italy and Belgium, it reflects the voices of youth promoting inclusion of peers facing disadvantage due to disability, geographical isolation, or socio-economic background.
Through inclusive sport practices, reflection, and digital tools, participants analyzed their experiences and proposed concrete improvements based on real needs. The process combined field activities, self-assessment, and collaborative planning.
The guidelines show how social sport can foster inclusion, participation, and personal growth, transforming challenges into resources. They also provide practical suggestions to support youth workers and organizations in designing more effective, accessible, and empowering outdoor learning environments.
