Manual
A step-by-step guide for youth workers and educators to organize inclusive local assemblies for LGBTIQ+ and non-LGBTIQ+ youth, aimed at empowering them to address hate speech and promote human rights.
The tool aims to empower LGBTIQ+ and non-LGBTIQ+ youth by helping them identify and address hate speech through inclusive dialogue, collaborative planning, and action in their communities. It also promotes active citizenship and human rights education.
This practical guide supports youth workers, educators, and activists in organizing sustainable local youth assemblies, both online and in-person. The assemblies are inclusive spaces for 18–26-year-olds to develop dialogue, define community challenges, and create collective actions to counter anti-LGBTIQ+ hate speech.
The tool includes detailed instructions on planning, outreach, facilitation, safety, evaluation, and reporting. It applies non-formal education methods and promotes active participation, teamwork, and critical reflection. Learning outcomes include increased youth engagement, knowledge of human rights, improved communication and facilitation skills, and the capacity to implement community-level initiatives.
The guide also integrates data protection, inclusive language, and partnership-building strategies, making it suitable for beginners and experienced youth workers alike.
