The “Leaders of Youth Business Academy” program was developed under the strategic partnership project and co-funded by the Erasmus+ program launched by the European Union.
The aim of LYBA Guide is to help youth organisations, youth workers, teachers to plan and implement the LYBA Program involving young people to develop their leadership skills by helping them realising own initiatives.
The main result of our project is the LYBA: Leaders of Youth Business Academy. It is a development program for young people aged 15-19, moving from education to employment - the fruit of the project of two organizations working with young people in two countries and two cities: operating in the heart of Masuria, in north-eastern Poland, the Foundation of Alternative Education "ALE ”From Mrągowo, and the Creative Youth Foundation - Alkotó Ifjúságért Alapítvány from the academic city of Szeged in southern Hungary. For over a year, 12 youth leaders from Mrągowo and Szeged, under the watchful eye of trainers, mentors and coaches, developed their business and managerial skills, implementing their initiatives in the form of mini-projects in 6-person self-appointed and managed peer teams. Each of the 72 participants ended their experience with an individual development path, i.e. a further plan for themselves. On the basis of the course of 12 mini-projects and the process of educating leaders, we created a program guide, we organized open seminars in both countries, promoting the LYBA program and encouraging its implementation. Leaders conducted workshops to disseminate the program in their schools, and two organizations were prepared as LYBA incubators to start a second edition after the end of the project.
