Manual, Info session
The method introduces young people to the "Guide to Activism", a peer approach based online guide to civic engagement. It is helpful for doing practice-orientated civic education with youth groups. It is recommended for groups of 6-8 people.
The aim is to convey the basics of civic engagement and the dynamics of activism in a low-threshold and interactive way. The method also supports the first steps towards developing an awareness of the problem and the will to change them.
The "Guide to Activism" developed in collaboration with young people from different target groups, serves as a comprehensive guide to promoting activism. It provides practical steps and examples from the young activists of the Ambassadors Network to empower young Europeans to become activists on local or European issues of their choice. The specially developed 'Meet the Guide to Activism' method is a low-threshold tool for introducing the Guide to a group of young people. The method also aims to make the content of the Guide directly and practically applicable to their own lives. It initiates a discussion about the social challenges facing young people and then motivates them to address them with the help of the Guide. It is a starting point for active participation and a learning tool on issues such as active participation and democracy.
