Co-funded by Erasmus Plus through the PAAIR project, the guide presents a wealth of best practices and tools, including innovative communication models and detailed checklists, all designed to promote equality, inclusion and empowerment for refugees.
What does the Guide Contain?
. Initial Reception in Emergency Situations : Procedures and guidelines to ensure a rapid and effective response in humanitarian crises.
. Psychological First Aid : Techniques and approaches to providing emotional support to refugees.
. Support Against Human Trafficking : Strategies to identify and help victims of human trafficking.
. Challenges and Solution Strategies : Identification of the main obstacles in integration and proposals for practical solutions.
. Existing Resources for Public Social Support : Information on available services, such as school inclusion and other social support.
In recent years, the world has seen an unprecedented increase in the number of refugees fleeing the ravages of war, political persecution, human rights violations and desperate poverty in search of a better life. There are currently more than 26 million refugees scattered around the world, making this a huge humanitarian challenge for many nations.
Recognizing the complexity and urgency of this issue, AMURT Portugal, in collaboration with the Fundão Migration Center and Ananda Marga Poland, has created a guide to address the challenges. Drawing on their collective experiences, this guide provides valuable guidance for the successful reception and integration of refugees into host communities.
