The aim of the YEBEC booklets is to provide youth workers, educators, and facilitators with innovative tools and methodologies for engaging young people beyond traditional classroom settings. Specifically, the booklets aim to:
- Promote Creative and Interactive Learning: Move away from conventional teaching methods and encourage approaches that are more engaging, hands-on, and relevant to young people’s everyday lives.
-Empower Youth Educators: Give youth workers and facilitators new strategies, activities, and resources to guide young people effectively.
-Encourage Experiential Learning: Help young people learn through doing, reflecting, and collaborating, rather than just listening or reading.
- Integrate Key Educational Pillars: Build methodology around Environmental Awareness, Values Education, Experiential Learning, and Language Immersion to create a holistic educational experience.
-Inspire Implementation: Share discoveries and practical examples so others can adopt and adapt the YEBEC spirit in their own work with youth.
YEBEC stands for Youth Engagement: Beyond the Classroom. It’s an Erasmus+ KA2 project created to give youth workers, facilitators, and educators fresh ways to
connect with young people. Instead of sticking to traditional methods, Yebec explores creative and interactive approaches that make learning more
engaging, inclusive, and relevant to real life. The project’s to empower those who guide and support young people by offering them a new teaching and learning methodology.
Through Yebec, we’re building tools, activities, and resources that help education move beyond the four walls of a classroom — into spaces where young people can learn by doing, reflecting, and collaborating.
This booklet is one piece of that effort, designed to share what we’ve discovered and inspire others to bring the YEBEC spirit into their own work with youth.
METHODOLOGY:
To build this methodology, we have based our theoretical framework on four fundamental pillars:
1) Enviromental Awareness
2) Values Education
3) Experiencial Learning
4) Language Immersion.
