Game compilation booklet, with 6 different educational games about current social topics (migration, intercultural communication, media consumption and youth unempleyment) created by participants on Games 4 Learning project. For you to try out and test!

Aims of the tool

The aim of the tool is to increase the tool-box for youth workers in their daily work with young people. Games have a positive effect on transforming relations in groups of youngsters, can resolve conflicts, teach about numerous topics and inspire youngsters to take up initiative. Therefore, games gives the opportunity for entertaining and meaningful methods to use in the work with young people. These games address different social issues in our society.

Description of the tool

This game compilation booklet includes six different educational games on four different social issues (migration, intrcultural learning, media consumption and youth unemployment) that any youth worker can try out, test, adapt and use in their daily work with young people. The booklet includes games outline for each of the games, which includes short description of the game, learning outcomes, materials needed, step by step guide, debriefing questions, a summary video of the game and all the additional materials needed to try the game. The games have been created and tested by participants in the project, however, we advice you to adapt it to your target group and learning needs.
The learning outcome of this booklet is
- to learn more about how to use games for learning;
- to increase the toolbox for youth workers with games used for learning purposes;
- to develop the abilities of youth workers to
adress social issues in with entertaining and meaningful methods;
- give youth workers increased awareness of the positive effcts using games as educational tools has in a learning process;
