Manual
“From Challenge to Change” training manual focuses on leadership and conflict management, using experiential learning and outdoor exploration to build resilience, inspire action, and foster community change.
The tool aims to strengthen youth workers’ leadership, self-awareness, communication, and conflict management skills, while fostering resilience, teamwork, and the ability to empower young people to take initiative and create positive change in their communities.
This tool is designed to support youth workers in developing key competences through experiential learning, reflection, and outdoor activities. Using the Hero’s Journey as a guiding framework, participants engage in team challenges, roleplays, and nature-based practices that mirror real-life situations in youth work. The process combines self-reflection, non-violent communication, and collaborative problem-solving, creating a dynamic environment for personal and professional growth.
Learning Outcomes
By using this tool, participants will:
- Increase self-awareness and recognize their personal leadership style; strengthen communication and conflict management skills through non-violent communication and active listening;
- develop emotional resilience and strategies for navigating challenges;
- enhance their ability to motivate and empower young people to take initiative in their communities;
- gain experience in teamwork, trust-building, and cross-cultural cooperation;
- learn to integrate reflection and experiential methods into their own youth work practice.
